Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Lide, 2008: The melting point of the test item is considered to be 18 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
18 °C

Additional information

The derived melting point is based on the literature and database queries. The most reliable value of 18.0 °C was found in Lide (2008). This information is supported by online database queries in Reaxys (2015) and Beilstein (2006). The range specified there is 18 - 20 °C. Deviating from this, a value of 7 ° C is given in Hommel (2012). In a weight of evidence approach based on all available information, the melting point of the test item is considered to be 18 °C.
