Results

In the temperature range of 70 - 90 °C an endothermic effect (melting), was observed. Between approx. 170 - 290 °C a second endothermic effect (boiling) could be detected. The results are reported in the following table. No further thermal effects were observed up to the maximum test temperature of 500 °C.

During the heating phase an endothermic effect was observed in the temperature range of 70 - 90 °C, which can be assigned to the melting of the test item. As the onset temperatures in both tests deviate by less than 0.5 K from their mean value of 70.70 °C, the test item has a melting point of 70.7 °C.

 

Final Results

The test item has a melting point of 70.7 °C at atmospheric pressure (1024 hPa) as determined by differential scanning calorimetry according to Regulation EC No. 440/2008 Method A.1. and OECD Test Guideline 102 (1995).

Conclusions:
A melting point value of 70.7 °C (at 1024 hPa) was determined for the test substance according to E.U. Method A.1.
