Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

As no data on target substance was available, a read across approach with Similar Substance 01 was used. Target and read across substance have exactly the same chemical structure and they only differ in the type of salification of 2 sulphonic acid groups. In particular, target substance is a sodium and potassium salt, while read across substance is a disodium salt. Moreover, the 2 substances have the same impurities profile, mainly water and inorganic salts.

Differences in the type of salification are not expected to significantly influence the physicochemical properties, thus the read across is considered as acceptable and reliable for the assessment. Details on the read across are available in section 13.

The substance was tested for toxicity on freshwater aquatic plants, i.e. Lemna minor, according to OECD guideline 221 under static exposure conditions.

Nominal concentrations used for the definitive test were 5, 15.8, 50, 158 and 500 mg/l of active ingredient.

Test in progress, the assessment will be updated as soon as the results of the test are available.
