Appearance:

On the basis of physical observation and using the sense of smell, bis[[4 -[[4 -(diethylamino)phenyl][4 -(ethylamino)-1 -naphthyl]methylene]cyclohexa-2,5 -dien-1 -ylidene]diethylammonium] dicopper(1 +) hexa(cyano-C)ferrate(4 -) was observed to be a bluish powder.

Melting point:

The melting point determination of Bis[[4-[[4 -(diethylamino)phenyl][4 -(ethylamino)-1 - naphthyl]methylene]cyclohexa-2,5 -dien-1 -ylidene]diethylammonium] dicopper(1 +) hexa(cyano-C)ferrate(4-) (CAS No. 82338-76-9) was done following OECD Guideline 102 and according to the metal block capillary method. The test was conducted in replicates and Mean Melting Temperature Range was determine to be 200.1-204.3°C at 964.9hPa.

Boiling Point:

The boiling point determination of Bis[[4-[[4 -(diethylamino)phenyl][4 -(ethylamino)-1 - naphthyl]methylene]cyclohexa-2,5 -dien-1 -ylidene]diethylammonium] dicopper(1 +) hexa(cyano-C)ferrate(4-) (CAS No. 82338-76-9) was done following OECD Guideline 103 and according to the method of Siwoloboff. The test was conducted in replicates and boiling point was determine to be greater than 300 °C at 967.5 hPa.

Density:

The density of test item Bis[[4-[[4 -(diethylamino)phenyl][4 -(ethylamino)-1 - naphthyl]methylene]cyclohexa-2,5 -dien-1 -ylidene]diethylammonium] dicopper(1 +) hexa(cyano- C)ferrate(4 -) (CAS No. 82338 -76 -9)was determined following OECD Guideline 109 and according to the Adapted from ASTM D854 -02 using pyknometer The mean density of test item was determine to be 0.2796 g/cm³ at 20°C and 959.85 hPa.

Particle size distribution:

The particle size distribution of test item Bis[[4-[[4 -(diethylamino)phenyl][4 -(ethylamino)-1 -naphthyl]methylene]cyclohexa-2,5 -dien-1 -ylidene] diethylammonium] dicopper(1 +) hexa(cyano-C)ferrate(4 -) (CAS No. 82338 -76 -9 ) was determined by granulometric analysis with rotap sieve shaker. The particle size distribution was determine to bein the range of 150 micron to 10 micron.

Vapour pressure:

The estimated vapour pressure of bis[[4-[[4 -(diethylamino)phenyl][4 -(ethylamino)-1 -naphthyl]methylene]cyclohexa-2,5 -dien-1 -ylidene]diethylammonium] dicopper(1 +) hexa(cyano-C)ferrate(4 -) at 25 deg C was 2.9E-26 Pa.

Partition coefficient:

Based on the available data from modeling database using the KOWWIN V1.68 program, the partition coefficient (log Pow) value of the substance bis[[4 -[[4 -(diethylamino)phenyl][4 -(ethylamino)-1 -naphthyl]methylene]cyclohexa-2,5 -dien-1 -ylidene]diethylammonium] dicopper(1 +) hexa(cyano-C)ferrate(4 -) was estimated to be 6.26. The method was closed cup method using Pensky-Martens Flash Point Apparatus. The mean flash point of the test item was determine to be 164°C at 966 hPa.

Auto flammability:

bis[[4-[[4 -(diethylamino)phenyl][4 -(ethylamino)-1 -naphthyl]methylene]cyclohexa-2,5 -dien-1 -ylidene]diethylammonium] dicopper(1 +) hexa(cyano-C)ferrate(4 -) did not catch fire on being exposed to air at room temperature of 27°C pressure of 966 hPa. This indicates that bis[[4 -[[4 -(diethylamino)phenyl][4 -(ethylamino)-1 -naphthyl]methylene]cyclohexa-2,5 -dien-1 -ylidene]diethylammonium] dicopper(1 +) hexa(cyano-C)ferrate(4 -) is not auto-flammable.

Flammability:

bis[[4 -[[4 -(diethylamino)phenyl][4 -(ethylamino)-1 -naphthyl]methylene]cyclohexa-2,5 -dien-1 -ylidene]diethylammonium] dicopper(1 +) hexa(cyano-C)ferrate(4 -) does not indicate any ignition when the flame of bunsen burner having temperature of approximately 950°C is brought in contact with it. Thus it can be concluded that bis[[4 -[[4 -(diethylamino)phenyl][4 -(ethylamino)-1 -naphthyl]methylene]cyclohexa-2,5 -dien-1 -ylidene]diethylammonium] dicopper(1 +) hexa(cyano-C)ferrate(4 -) is not flammable at high temperature. However since such high temperatures are not found under normal circumstances of transportation and use, thus bis[[4 -[[4 -(diethylamino)phenyl][4 -(ethylamino)-1 -naphthyl]methylene]cyclohexa-2,5 -dien-1 -ylidene]diethylammonium] dicopper(1 +) hexa(cyano-C)ferrate(4 -) was considered non-flammable for chemical safety assessment.
