Justification:

Persistence assessment

The test substance was not readily biodegradable in a ready biodegradability test. This indicates that it is unlikely to achieve a half-life of less than 40 or 60 days within freshwater or marine water, respectively, attributed to ready biodegradation alone. Similarly, it was found to be hydrolytically stable at room temperature in a hydrolysis study. As such, the test substance fulfils the requirements of REACH Annex XIII, Para 1.1 and considered “P”.

Bioaccumulation assessment

The partition coefficient of the test substance was calculated using HPLC method. The log Pow of the test substance was determined to be <0.9 to 1.34 at room temperature, which is below the cut-off screening value of 4.5. Therefore, the test substance does not meet criteria as bioaccumulative. This suggests that bioaccumulation in the food chain is unlikely. Therefore, the substance does not fulfil the requirement of REACH Annex XIII, Para 1.2 and is not considered a “B” or “vB”.

Toxicity assessment

The test substance does not show L(E)C50 values< 0.1 mg/L in acute toxicity tests conducted on aquatic organisms. The test substance is not classified as carcinogenic (category 1A or 1B), mutagenic (category 1A or 1B), or toxic for reproduction (category 1A, 1B or 2) according to regulation EC No. 1272/2008.Therefore, the test substance does not fulfil the requirement of REACH Annex III, Para 1.3 and is not considered a "T".

Summary and Overall Conclusions on PBT or vPvB Properties

The test substance does not fulfil the criteria for bioaccumulation and toxicity, as specified in REACH Annex XIII. As such, the substance is not considered a PBT or vPvB substance, based on the available data.
