Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

For the endpoint short-term to aquatic invertebrates, long-term toxicity to fish and toxicity aquatic algae in a one-to-one read across was performed to a chemical similar compound of the same chemical class with a comparable phys. chem. profile and similar response in biological assays.

No adverse effects were observed up to the limit of water solubility.

96-h LC50 (Fish) > 1.03 mg/L (water solubility), > 100 mg/L (nominal)

28 d NOEC (Fish) > 0.003 mg/L

72-h EC50 (algae) > 100 mg/L (nominal) based on growth rate

72-h EC10 (algae) > 100 mg/L (nominal) based on growth rate

48-h EC50 (daphnia) > 100 mg/L (nominal)

Conclusion on classification

Classification, Labeling, and Packaging Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008

The available experimental test data of the substance are reliable and suitable for classification purposes under Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008. The test item was determined be not readily biodegradable. In the aquatic tests conducted, the test substance showed toxic effects on the tested species. The determined EC50 for Daphnia magna was >100 mg/L and for Raphidocelis subcapitata was >100 mg/L (nominal, growth rate). The EC10 (nominal, growth rate) for Raphidocelis subcapitata was determined to be >100 mg/L. The 96-h LC50 (Fish) was determined to be > 100 mg/L (nominal) and the 28 d NOEC (Fish) > 0.003 mg/L. Based on these results, the substance does not require classification for environmental toxicology according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.
