Description of key information

The vapor pressure of Novec 7700 at 25.0 °C is 1.1 mm Hg (1.47 hPa) (ASTM E-1719-97).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In the key study, the vapor pressure of Novec 7700 was measured under method ASTM E1719-97 (Vapor Pressure of Liquids by Ebulliometry). The study was not conducted in accord with GLP guidelines and no characterization was provided for the test material; therefore the study is classified as acceptable with restrictions. In a supporting study of Novec 7700, a vapor pressure of 0.834 mm Hg at 20 °C was reported using method ASTM E1719 -97. The study was not conducted in accord with GLP guidelines and no characterization was provided for the test material; therefore this study is also classified as acceptable with restrictions. The key study was chosen because the vapor pressure was interpolated from the data set, rather than extrapolated as in the supporting study.
