Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Key result
Remarks on result:
no self-ignition observed up to the melting point

Observations after the test

The cube contained a small amount of black charred material. There was a pool of melted material beneath the cube.

Conclusions:
Under the conditions of the test, the substance has been determined not to have a relative self-ignition temperature below its melting temperature.
Executive summary:

In a GLP compliant relative self-ignition temperature study conducted in line with EU Method A.16, the self-ignition temperature of

butanoic acid, 4-[[4-[7-chloro-6-(1,1-dimethylethyl)-3H-pyrazolo[1,5,b][1,2,4]triazol-2-yl]phenyl]amino-4-oxo-, tetradecyl ester was determined. The substance has been determined not to have a relative self-ignition temperature below its melting temperature.

Description of key information

Key study:- Tremain (2004) 'Determination of hazardous physico-chemical properties' conducted in line with EU Method A.16.

The test substance was determined not to have a relative self-ignition temperature below its melting temperature.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The key study (Tremain, 2004) was performed in compliance with GLP and to the EU Method A.16 with a sufficient level of detail to assess the quality of the presented data. The study was performed to a good standard in line with an accepted, standardised guideline and was assigned a reliability score of 1 using the principles for assessing data quality as set out in Klimisch et al. (1997). The test substance was determined not to have a relative self-ignition temperature below its melting temperature.
