Description of key information
Under this section, environmental behaviour of the substance is investigated. Due to its complex nature, it was impossible to test hydrolysis and adsorption properties. Nevertheless, the constituent alpha-pinene has been selected as the Lead Substance Indicator for CSA purposes. For information, the koc of alpha-pinene has been determined as being 3659 L/kg.
Nonetheless, biological degradation was investigated with a 301F study performed under GLP compliance, the registered substance was found to be not readily biodegradable, based on a degradation rate < 60% after 28 days of incubation. Moreover, the biodegradation did not reach 60% after 60 days of test.
