The biodegradability of the test compound was studied in a manometric respiration test according to OECD301F. The test compound was incubated with diluted activated sludge obtained from a municipal sewage treatment plant over 28 days. The test compound showed no degradation, while the reference compound (sodium acetate) was almost fullly degraded, fulfilling the validity criteria.
The toxicity control showed no toxicity of the test compound. Therefore, the test compound is not ready biodegradable.
The study was conducted under GLP (Schering report A23038, 16 Jun 2005).
