Conclusions:
The test substance is not sensitive with respect to heating, shock and friction. The test substance Acid Brown 83 has no explosive properties.
Executive summary:

Acid Brown 83 was tested for explosivity properties with the following tests: test of thermal sensitivity, test of mechanical sensitivity with respect to shock and the test of mechanical sensitivity with respect to friction. In the first test there was no observation of the fragmented tubes as well as explosion within the both measurements. The test result was negative.

In the second test there was no observation of explosion during the six tests at 40 J, therefore the test substance is not sensitive with respect to shock. In the third test there was no observation of positive event during the six tests with 360 N loading. Therefore the test substance, Acid Brown 83, is not sensitive with respect tofriction.

Therfore the test substance is not sensitive with respectto heating, shock and friction.

The test substance Acid Brown 83 has no explosive properties.

Description of key information

The test substance is not sensitive with respect to heating, shock and friction.

Therefore Acid Brown 83 has no explosive properties.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification
