Description of key information

The determination of the flammability of the test item showed no explosive properties according to European Commission Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008 (A.14 Explosive properties) and OECD 113 (Screening test for thermal stability and stability in air).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

Thermal stability: A DSC-measurement in a closed glass crucible in a closed high pressure crucible with the test item showed two endothermal effects in the temperature ranges 145 -180°C and 415 -500°C and one exothermal effect in the temperature range of 200 -310°C with an enthalpy of -564 J/g. The mesurement was terminated at 500°C. A second DSC-measurement in a closed glass crucible with the test item showed two endothermal effects in the temperature ranges 140 -175°C and 410 -465°C and one exothermal effect in the temperature range of 195 -390°C with an enthalpy of -816 J/g. The measurement was terminated at 500°C.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The test item had no explosive properties in the sense of the European Commission Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008, Method A.14.
