Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Experimental results on the toxicity of Reaction mass of 1,1'-(isopropylidene)bis[3,5-dibromo-4-(2,3-dibromo-2-methylpropoxy)benzene] and 1,3-dibromo-2-(2,3-dibromo-2-methylpropoxy)-5-{2-[3,5-dibromo-4-(2,3,3-tribromo-2-methylpropoxy)phenyl]propan-2-yl}benzene to sediment organisms are not available. However, the high molecular weight of 971.68 g/mol and the high log Kow of > 10 of the substance indicate a low bioavailability and therefore low risk towards toxicity. This assumption is furthermore confirmed by the results of the available aquatic and terrestrial ecotoxicity data. Therefore, the substance is considered to be with high probability acutely not harmful to sediment organisms.
