First-aid measures

General information:
Pay attention to self-protection.
Remove victims from hazardous area.
Keep warm, position comfortably, and cover well.
Do not leave affected persons unattended.
First aid inhalation:
Move victims into fresh air.
If the casualty is not breathing: Perform mouth-to-mouth
resuscitation, notify emergency physician immediately.
First aid skin:
Wash off affected area immediately with plenty of water.
Continue decontamination with polyethylene glycol 400 after initial
rinsing with water and then wash with water and soap.
If symptoms persist, consult a physician for treatment.
First aid eye:
With eye held open, thoroughly rinse immediately with plenty of water
for at least 10 minutes.
Consult an ophthalmologist immediately if the symptoms persist.
First aid ingestion:
Rinse out mouth.
Immediately give large quantities of water to drink.
Consult a physician immediately.
Hints for physican: treatment
After accidental absorption in the body, the pathology and clinical
findings are dependent on the kinetics of the noxious substance
(quantity of absorbed substance, the absorption time, and the
effectiveness of early elimination measures (first aid)/ excretion -
metabolism).
Continue with first aid measures.
Depending on the pathology and clinical findings, patient monitoring
and symptomatic treatment are necessary.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media: Water spray, foam, CO2, dry powder.
Hazards during fire-fighting:
Hazardous fumes in fires, specific to the product:
isocyanate-containing vapours
Carbon monoxide
carbon dioxide (CO2)
Under certain fire conditions, traces of other toxic products may occur.
Closed container may rupture if strongly heated.
Cool closed containers exposed to fire with water spray.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions:
Use personal protective equipment.
Ensure adequate ventilation.
Do not breathe vapours or spray mist.
Environmental Precautions:
Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system.
Methods for cleaning or taking up:
Take up mechanically or with an absorbent material.
Fill into marked, sealable containers.
sand
diatomaceous earth
universal absorbent
sawdust

Exposure controls / personal protection

Components with OEL: ISOPHORONDIISOCYANATE, CAS: 4098-71-9

Advice on system design: Provide for good ventilation if vapours/aerosols are formed.
Respiratory Protection:
In case of dusts/vapours/aerosols being formed or if the limit values like TLV are exceeded: use respiratory equipment with suitable filter (combined filter A2-P2) or wear a self contained respiratory apparatus.
Hand protection:
Additional Protection The following details refer to information provided by Kächele-Cama Latex GmbH, Am Kreuzacker 9, D-36124 Eichenzell, www.kcl.de
Type of material Camatril (730)

Eye protection: safety glasses

Industrial hygiene:
Do not inhale vapours / aerosols.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Remove immediately all contaminated clothing.
Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday.

Stability and reactivity

Hazardous reactions: Reacts with water, whereby carbon dioxide is produced; pressure may build up in closed containers (danger of bursting).
Decomposition products: Splitting agent: isophorone di-isocyanate.

Disposal considerations

Must, in conformance with local regulations, be subjected to special treatment, e.g. waste incineration plant suitable for materials
causing emissions of harmful substances. No waste key number as per the European Waste Types List can be assigned to this product, since such classification is based on the (as yet undetermined) use to which the product is put by the consumer. The waste key number must be determined as
per the European Waste Types List (decision on EU Waste Types List 2000/532/EC) in cooperation with the disposal firm / producing firm / official
