Conclusion on classification

The chronic and acute aquatic toxicity of the substance was determined in several studies on different trophic levels, i.e. fish, daphnia and algae. The acute and chronic studies showed no effects or mortalities up to the limit of water solubility (nominal test concentration 100 mg/L). In line with the ECHA Guidance on the application of the CLP criteria, Version 4.1, June 2015, the absence of effects in chronic studies on three trophic levels is sufficient to exempt from C&L.

Consequently, a classification and labelling of the substance for acute and chronic aquatic toxicity is not warranted according to CLP regulation 1272/2008/EC.

In addition, a test on bioaccumulation showed a BCF of 229.
