Results and discussion

Flammable solids
Test procedure:
burning time (test type not further specified)
Remarks:
or specified in description of method (migrated information)
Remarks on result:
other: The test item failed to ignite in the preliminary screening test.

Any other information on results incl. tables

Preliminary Screening Test

The pile failed to ignite during the two minutes that the Bunsen flame was applied in the preliminary screening test. The result of the preliminary screening test obviated the need to perform the main test.

Moisture content

Two determinations of the moisture content were done. The mean moisture content was 2.349 % w/w.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
non flammable
Remarks:
Migrated information
Conclusions:
The test item has been determined to be not highly flammable as it failed to ignite in the preliminary screening test.
Executive summary:

The flammability (solids) of the test item TM10-099 was determined in a valid GLP study by measuring the burning rate of test item prepared as a pile of set dimensions. Testing was conducted using a method designed to be compatible with EU Method A.10.

The burning rate of the test item prepared as a pile of set dimensions was measured and the moisture content was determined gravimetrically. The pile failed to ignite during the two minutes that the Bunsen flame was applied in the preliminary screening test. The result of the preliminary screening test obviated the need to perform the main test.

The test item was determined to be not highly flammable as it failed to ignite in the preliminary screening test.
