measurements the 269 °C is considered to be a decomposition temperature.
The melting point of a test item is defined as the temperature at
which phase transition from a solid to liquid state takes place at
normal atmospheric pressure. For the determination of the melting point,
the capillary method was used. A small amount of the test item was
heated in the electronic controlled sample block and the temperature
around the sample was displayed. The melting point was determined based
on thermo-optical changes, while raising the temperature. The
photosensors continuously measured the intensity of the light
transmitted through the samples.
