The substance is not sensitive to self-ignition.

In accordance with section 2 of REACH Annex XI, the auto flammability study does not need to be conducted as in inorganic substances in which the inorganic element is in its highest possible oxidation state are incapable of further reaction with oxygen and can thus be designated as non-flammable. The oxidation state of boron in Silicon boride oxide is in its highest possible state (3+), the oxidation state of silicon in Silicon boride oxide is also in its highest possible state (4+) and thus Silicon boride oxide can be considered as non-flammable and will not be sensitive to self-ignition.
