Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The available screening data on biodegradation are sufficient for the risk

assessment (risk characterisation ratios are below 1). Therefore further

testing on aquatic and sediment degradation is not required.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

According to column 2 of Annex IX, sections 9.2.1.2 and 9.2.1.4, of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, further aquatic and sediment degradation testing is needed if the chemical safety assessment indicates the need to investigate further the degradation of the substance and its degradation product. The substance has a very low log Koc and is not considered to be bioaccumulative due to the low logKow. The risk for the compartment surface water and sediment based on available data is acceptable (risk ratio below 1) and direct or indirect exposure of the sediment compartment is unlikely. Thus, the available data on degradation is sufficient and no additional testing is required.
