Any other information on results incl. tables
Signs of irritation/corrosion were irreversible in all rabbits can be summarized as follows:
- suppuration
- loss of hair at mrgines of eyelids
- discharge of blood
- loss of corneal tissue
Due to these symptoms, the study was ended 72 h after application.
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Interpretation of results:
- Category 1 (irreversible effects on the eye)
- Remarks:
- Migrated information
- Conclusions:
- Under the test conditions chosen and considering the described findings ASTA-C15-Salz krist. has the potential to cause severe eye damage. Thus, the test substance needs to be classified according to Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
