Description of key information

Tetrahydro Pseudoionone is considered to be readily biodegradable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
readily biodegradable

Additional information

A reliable ready biodegradability study was performed in accordance with GLP and OECD Guideline 301F (Givaudan Suisse SA, 15 -E029). Tetrahydro Pseudoionone undergoes 75% biodegradation after 28 days under the test conditions. The 10-day window criterion is also fulfilled (20% biodegradation on day 3 and 60% on day 13). Thus, Tetrahydro Pseudoionone should be regarded as readily biodegradable.
