First-aid measures

-Inhalation: Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing.
-Skin contact: Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water/shower. Call a physician immediately. Wash skin with plenty of water and soap. Take off contaminated clothing.
-Eye contact: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Call a physician immediately.
-Ingestion: Rinse mouth. Do not induce vomiting. Call a physician immediately.


Symptoms/effects after skin contact: Burns. May cause an allergic skin reaction. Pain. Redness.
After eye contact: Serious damage to eyes. Pain. Redness. Tears. Burning sensation. After ingestion: Burns. Risk of lung oedema. Burns or irritation of the linings of the mouth, throat, and gastrointestinal tract. Treat symptomatically.

Fire-fighting measures

-Suitable extinguishing media: Water spray. Dry powder. Foam. Carbon dioxide. Use extinguishing media appropriate for surrounding fire: Water spray, Dry powder, Foam, Carbon dioxide.
-Unsuitable extinguishing media: Do not use a solid water stream as it may scatter and spread fire.
-Hazardous decomposition products in case of fire: Toxic fumes may be released.
-Precautionary measures fire: Do not allow run-off from fire-fighting to enter drains or water courses.
-Protection during firefighting: Do not attempt to take action without suitable protective equipment. Self-contained breathing apparatus. Complete protective clothing.


-Protective equipment: Wear recommended personal protective equipment. Refer to section 8.2. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes.


-Emergency procedures: Only qualified personnel equipped with suitable protective equipment may intervene. Do not breathe dust/fume/gas/mist/vapours/spray. Evacuate unnecessary personnel. Do not breathe vapours. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing.


-Avoid release to the environment. Notify authorities if product enters sewers or public waters.

Accidental release measures

For containment: Collect spillage. Stop leak if safe to do so.


Methods for cleaning up: Take up liquid spill into absorbent material. Notify authorities if product enters sewers or public waters. Shovel or sweep up and put in a closed container for disposal.


Dispose of materials or solid residues at an authorized site.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling: Ensure good ventilation of the work station. Obtain special instructions before use. Do not handle until all safety precautions have been read and understood. Take all necessary technical measures to avoid or minimize the release of the product on the workplace. Limit quantities of product at the minimum necessary for handling and limit the number of exposed workers. Provide local exhaust or general room ventilation. Wear personal protective equipment. Floors, walls and other surfaces in the hazard area must be cleaned regularly. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. Do not breathe dust/fume/gas/mist/vapours/spray. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Do not breathe vapours.
