Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The auto-ignition temperature is determined to 195 °C at 994.3 hPa to 1014.4 hPa

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The auto-ignition temperature is determined in a guideline study following the quality management system of GLP. No or only minor deviations could be detected during determination. The result is supported by two secondary sources. The results of all studies differ a little but cover the same range. Both secondary sources state a higher value for the auto-ignition temperature. Due to safety reasons and in accordance with DIN 51794 the experimental mean is rounded up to 195 °C. The result of the GLP study could therefore be considered as valid and is chosen as key value for the chemical safety assessment.
