In accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex VII, the study does not need to be conducted, as the substance does not contain any chemical groups associated with explosive properties.

Supporting data (ChemService S.r.l. Testing Laboratory, 2005e) indicate that sulfur is not explosive.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the results of a GLP-compliant guideline study, classification of sulfur as explosive is not warranted in accordance with the EU CLP Regulation (EC No. 1272/2008).
