Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

As a subacute repeated dose toxicity study and a reproscreening study are waived based on a test proposal for higher tier testing, an interim DNEL is proposed for lemon oil. Details are provided in the attached document in which a rationale is given for the selection of a suitable interim DNEL.

The test proposals for a 90-day repeated dose toxicity study, a developmental toxicity study and a two-generation study are part of an integrated test strategy (ITS), which comprises the following steps:

1. Data for all major constituents of lemon oil should be considered as a first step:

- the currently available data

- data which are expected to become available as a result of the REACH registration of the constituents as such, later during the phase-in period

2. When data from constituents are not sufficient, testing with lemon oil should be considered
