Description of key information

The test material is not classified as a flammable solid as it failed to ignite in the preliminary screening test. Kieselguhr soda ash flux calcined is not considered to be pyrophoric or flammable when in contact with water.

Results are based on a key study performed to GLP according to Method N.1 specified in the United Nations, Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, Manual of Tests and Criteria, fourth revised edition 2003 (Tremain & Atwal 2010)

The test material failed to ignite in the preliminary screening test.

Kieselguhr soda ash flux calcined is not considered to be pyrophoric or flammable when in contact with water based on experience and handling in use therefore a classification is not warranted.
