Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Method:

OECD Guideline 301B

A modified Sturm test was conducted to determine the ready biodegradability of the test substance in an aerobic, aqueous medium. The extent of biodegradation was determined by monitoring cumulative CO2 production over 28 days for a mineralized inoculum of

microbes in the presence of the test and/or a reference substance.

Inoculum Source:

Sewage treatment plant.

Study Length:

28 days.

Test Concentration:

20 mg carbon/L

Results:

The test substance did not biodegrade within a 28- day test period when exposed to microorganisms maintained in an aerobic, aqueous mineralized environment. Cumulative biodegradation only reached 7.27% by day 28.

Cumulative biodegradation of the reference substance (aniline) was 62.8% by Day 14 meeting the test criteria for acceptance.
