Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusion on classification

According to the CLP Regulation (EC 1272/2008), the threshold for classification is 1 mg/l and 100 mg/l for acute toxicity and chronic toxicity, respectively.

In particular, classification for short-term (acute) aquatic hazard Category Acute 1 applies if:

96 hr LC50 (for fish) ≤ 1 mg/l and/or

48 hr EC50 (for crustacea) ≤ 1 mg/l and/or

72 or 96 hr ErC50 (for algae or other aquatic plants) ≤ 1 mg/l.

For non-rapidly degradable substances for which adequate chronic toxicity data are available, classification in:

- Category Chronic 1 applies if:

Chronic NOEC or ECx (for fish)  ≤ 0.1 mg/l and/or

Chronic NOEC or ECx (for crustacea) ≤ 0.1 mg/l and/or

Chronic NOEC or ECx (for algae or other aquatic plants) ≤ 0.1 mg/l

- Category Chronic 2 applies if:

Chronic NOEC or ECx (for fish)  ≤ 1 mg/l and/or

Chronic NOEC or ECx (for crustacea) ≤ 1 mg/l and/or

Chronic NOEC or ECx (for algae or other aquatic plants) ≤ 1 mg/l

Based on available data, the substance is not classified for acute and chronic aquatic toxicity according to the CLP Regulation EC No.1272/2008.
