- Details on results:
- The solubility of 2-ethylanthraquinone in water at 293 K (20°C) can be calculated as 0.245 mg/L with a coefficient of variation of 11.6 % calculated from 20 determinations.
- Conclusions:
- Interpretation of results (migrated information): slightly soluble (0.1-100 mg/L)
The solubility of the test item in water is 0.245 mg/L at 20°C. - Executive summary:
The water solubility of the test item was assessed according to OECD TG 105 in a valid GLP study.
The tests were performed according to the column elution method with quartz and with chromosorb as carriers. Samples were taken at different timepoints and the test item concentration was determined by HPLC. The solubility of 2-ethylanthraquinone in water at 20°C was calculated from 20 determinations as 0.245 mg/L with a coefficient of variation of 11.6 %.

The results show that the saturation plateau had been reached. The results are in agreement with the requirements of OECD guideline 105. The results do not differ by more than 30 percent in a random fashion. The mean value of the five mean concentrations is 265 µg/L with a coefficient of variation of 3.8 %.

- 20 °C
Additional information
The water solubility of 2-ethylanthraquinone was assessed according to OECD TG 105 in a valid GLP study. The test was performed according to the column elution method. The solubility of 2-ethylanthraquinone in water at 20°C was calculated from 20 determinations as 0.245 mg/L with a coefficient of variation of 11.6 %. This value is supported by a QSAR giving a water solubility of 0.4049 mg/L.
