Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

According to claimed uses of OO-t-butyl-O-(2-ethylhexyl)monoperoxycarbonate aquatic compartment exposure is likely. At the moment no data is available for characterizing OO-t-butyl-O-(2-ethylhexyl)monoperoxycarbonate peroxide long-term effects on organisms inhabiting aquatic compartment.

Nevertheless, risk assessment demonstrated that there is no risk (PEC/PNEC<1) for the aquatic compartment. Therefore, in accordance with the ECHA guidance (Chapter R.7b, version 2.0 Figure R.7.8-4), no long-term daphnia testing need to be conducted. The conduct of a long-term toxicity testing on invertebrates (e.g. OECD 211) can be waived in accordance with column 2 of Annex IX chapter 9.1 of Regulation EC 1907/2006.
