Description of key information
In accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex IX the study does not need to be conducted on the grounds that the chemical safety assessment, conducted according to Annex I, indicates that it is not necessary.

- The substance is of low toxicity to aquatic organisms.
- The parent acid substance and its counter ion are naturally occurring in sediment organisms.
- The substance has a negative Log KOW value and is therefore not expected to be taken up and accumulated by sediment organisms.
- Risk characterisation ratios obtained using a PNECsedimentcalculated from the PNECaquaticby the equilibrium partitioning method are <1.
Testing is not considered necessary because:
In accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex X, the requirement for long-term toxicity data for sediment-dwelling organisms (required in Section 9.5.1.iswaived on the grounds that the chemical safety assessment, conducted according to Annex I, indicates that it is not necessary.
