In the OECD-Confirmatory-Test a biodegradation of 98% was determined (via the influent into the laboratory activated sludge unit, concentrations ranging from 13 mg/L to 15.3 mg/L were introduced into the system) over a test period of 25 days. In the Coupled Units-Test (principle: combining two confirmatory test units) a biodegradation of 77% was determined over a test period of 42 days based on DOC measurements.

Following REACH Annex IX 9.2.1.2 and 9.2.1.4 column 2, simulation testing on ultimate degradation in surface water and sediment simulation testing does not need to be conducted as the substance is readily biodegradable. No additional testing is therefore provided for endpoint coverage.
