Additional information

Acute tests on all three trophic levels were performed to examine the aquatic toxicity of 1-ethylpyrrolidin-2-one. Effects of the substance on fish, algae and Daphnia were found in the same range providing LC50/EC50 values > 100 mg/L, respectively. Two NOECs are available, one for algae of 101 mg/L and one for Daphnia magna with 12.5 mg/L (analogy).

Thus, 1-ethylpyrrolidin-2-one is with high probability acutely not harmful for aquatic organisms.
