Additional information

Toxicity to bacteria was tested according to GLP and OECD guideline 209 using domestic activated sludge as inoculum. After 180 minutes of exposure an EC10 of 640 mg/L was found while the EC50 was estimated to be > 1000 mg/L, related to the nominal concentration (BASF 2011). These results are substantiated by another study according to Bringmann-Kuehn (BASF 9/1891315, 1989) and by three read-across studies on microorganisms (Bayer 2003, Shell 1999 and DOW Europe 1992).
