Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Data waiving:

Justification for data waiving:
other:
Endpoint:
flash point
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
disregarded due to major methodological deficiencies
Reliability:
3 (not reliable)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
other: flash-point is not relevant for solids with a melting temperature > 100 degr C; no details available on the performace of the test (other than a general description of the method) and observations
Type of method:
closed cup
Flash point:
ca. 212 °C
Remarks on result:
other: atmospheric pressure not indicated
Conclusions:
The flash-point of the melted test substance was determined to be ca 212 degr C.

Description of key information

Although the test can be waived (substance has a melting point > 100 degr C), a study has been performed with the powder-form.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The flash-point test (required in section 7.9) was not conducted as the substance is a solid with a melting point > 100 degr C nd indications for decomposition above the melting point. Instead the flammability test was performed.
