Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
As the melting point of AVE 5530 EVA-KET was found to be 92.6 °C, determination of the self-ignition temperature is not required.
Executive summary:

The test method for the determination of the self-ignition temperature of a substance, as described for solid materials in Test Guideline A.16 of EC Directive 92/69/EEC, was replaced by a theory based evaluation.

According to REACH Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 of 18 December 2006 and its Corrigendum, dated 30 December 2006, the determination of self-ignition temperature is not required for substances with a melting point ≤ 160 °C.

As the melting point of AVE 5530 EVA-KET was determined at 92.6 °C, determination of self-ignition temperature is not required.
