Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Toxicity to fish

The acute toxicity was investigated in fathead minnow. The 96h-LC50 was 2.3 mg/l with a 95 % confidence interval between 2.0 and 3.2 mg/l. A waiver is proposed for long-term toxicity to fish, on exposure grounds.

Toxicity to aquatic invertebrates

The acute and chronic toxicity was investigated in Daphnia magna. The 48h-EC50 corresponds with 0.86 mg/l based on the geometric means of the concentrations measured with the 95% confidence interval defined by the highest level that induced no immobility, 0.67 mg/l and the lowest level that induced 100% immobility, 1.1 mg/l.

The 21-day NOEC for reproduction is 0.087 mg/l; 21-day NOEC for body length is 0.087 mg/l.

Toxicity to algae

The toxicity was investigated in Selenastrum capricornutum (new name: Pseudokirchnerella subcapitata).

The EC50 for growth rate reduction (4 day-interval) is above 4.3 mg/l based on the measured concentrations. The NOEC for growth rate reduction (4 day-interval) corresponded with a measured concentration of 1.07 mg/l.

Toxicity to micro-organisms

At the concentration(100 mg/l) used in the ready biodegradation test, the substance is not inhibitory to the micro-organisms.
