Samples for concentration control analysis were taken from freshly prepared solution (0 h and 24 h) in additionally prepared vessels without daphnids and at the end of each exposure interval (after approx. 24 h and 48 h) from all test vessels with mobile daphnids (pooled replicates) or from all remaining test concentrations.
Additionally, samples were collected from the 24-hour old abiotic replicate (no Daphnia) per test group.

Details on test solutions:
Each test solution was prepared separately (differential loading) by directly adding test
substance to test medium. For each concentration, the test substance was weighed into a
volumetric flask and filled to the mark with test medium. The solution was then stirred for approximately 1 hour. The solutions were checked visually to ensure that the test substance is completely dissolved. All prepared solutions were visibly clear. The control solutions were
treated in the same way.

Additional information

One study investigating the short-term toxicity of the test substance to aquatic invertebrates is available. The study was conducted according to OECD 202 and GLP using Daphnia magna as test organism (BASF SE, 2020). Nominal concentrations between 0.22 and 10 mg/L were tested. The exposure was analytically verified. No immobilized daphnids were observed in the control. After an exposure time of 48h the EC50 is determined to be 3.84 mg/L basd on mean measured concentrations. Thus, the test substance can be considered as acutely toxic to aquatic invertebrates.
