ADSORPTION / DESORPTION

Based on the estimated Log Kow of > 14 (see IUCLID Chapter 4.7) a high potential for partitioning to solid phases can be expected. The Koc cannot be measured due to the insufficient analytical sensitivity even when using 14C labled substance. The MCI approach of US EPA KOCWIN V. 2.00 program estimates a Koc of 1.11 E+07 L/kg which means very high tendency to sorb to solid phases. It is important to note that the estimated strong sorption to solid phases like sewage sludge, sediment or soil does not prevent rapid biodegradation of the registration substance in these compartments.
