Results:
In addition, the manufacturer has performed several tests

to determine the dust explosion hazard of the notified

substance. The following results were found:


1. Dust explosibility testing (ASTM Standard E 1226):

- Pmax. = 8.09 barg

- (dp/dt)max. = 1125 bar/s

- Kst = 305 bar m/s

explosion hazard category class St 3


2. Minimum explosive concentration: MEC = 31.25 g/m3

3. Dust layer minimum ignition temperature: No ignition

within 7° of the melting point of 222°C.

4. Minimum ignition energy: MIE = 6 mJ

5. Maximum oxygen concentration: MOC = 10.5% O2 content

CONCLUSION: According to the EC-criteria, the test sub-
stance needs not to be classified as explosive
