The boiling point of this substance was assessed by thermal gravimetric analysis in Seary, 2010. This substance undergoes substantial and rapid decomposition beginning at 195 degrees centigrade without boiling. The thermal decomposition of CAS # 68784-31-6 occurs over a remarkably narrow temperature interval from approximately 195-205 deg C followed by the volatilization of the diluent oil present (approximately 200-250 deg C). The percent residual ash (ZnO) reflects the approximate metals content of the ZnDTP actives when corrected for original diluent oil content.
