Description of key information

Intermediate 36 does not contain chemical groups indicating surface active properties, thus a study on surface tension was not conducted.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The test method for the determination of the surface tension of a substance as described for liquid materials in Test Guideline A.5 of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008, Part A, Methods for the Determination of Physico-Chemical Properties was replaced by a theoretical based evaluation. According to European Community Regulation 1907/2006 Annex VII, Section 7.6 experimental surface tension determination is only required, if based on the structure surface activity is expected or can be predicted. As the chemical structure of Intermediate 36 does not contain chemical groups indicating surface active properties, no study on surface tension was conducted.
