The particle size distribution of test item 12H-phthaloperin-12-one (CAS No. 6925-69-5 ) was determined by granulometric analysis with rotap sieve shaker. The particle size distribution was determine to be in 150 micron .

Vapour pressure:

The estimated vapour pressure of 12H-phthaloperin-12-one (CAS No. 6925-69-5 ) at 25 deg C was 4.55E-07 Pa.

Partition coefficient:

The Log Pow value of the test chemical was determined to be 3.966 ± 0.000 dimensionless at 25°C.

Water solubility:

The water solubility determination of test item 12H-phthaloperin-12-one (CAS No. 6925-69-5) was done as per the OECD guideline 105 by spectrophotometric analytical method as per OECD 101. The solubility of (12H-phthaloperin-12-one of CAS No: 6925-69-5 )in water was determine to be 0.11895 mg/L at 25°C.

Thus the chemical is considered to be slightly soluble in water.

Surface tension:

The study does not need to be conducted because water solubility is below 1 mg/L at 20°C.

Flash point:

The study does not need to be conducted because the flash point is only relevant to liquids and low melting point solids.

Auto flammability:

12H-phthaloperin-12-one did not catch fire on being exposed to air at room temperature of 27°C pressure of 966 hPa. This indicates that 12H-phthaloperin-12-one is not auto-flammable.

Flammability:

12H-phthaloperin-12-one does not indicate any ignition when the flame of bunsen burner having temperature of approximately 950°C is brought in contact with it. Thus it can be concluded that 12H-phthaloperin-12-one is not flammable at high temperature. However since such high temperatures are not found under normal circumstances of transportation and use, thus 12H-phthaloperin-12-one was considered non-flammable.

Explosiveness:

The study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with explosive properties.

Oxidizing properties:

The study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a solid.

Stability in organic solvents and identity of relevant degradation products:

The study does not need to be conducted because the stability of the substance is not considered to be critical.

pH:

The pH determination of test item 12H-phthaloperin-12-one (CAS No. 6925-69-5 ) was done as per the test guideline OECD 122. The mean pH of the test dispersion was determined with the help of digital pH meter. The mean pH was determine to be 4.69 at 26.8 °C.

Dissociation constant:

The study does not need to be conducted because the substance has no ionic structure.

Viscosity:

The study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a solid.
