No reliable dose descriptor could be set for acute toxicity. Therefore an acute toxicity DNEL has not been derived. The test substance showed to be only slightly toxic to rats after acute oral uptake. Due to the handling under strictly controlled conditions, and the low vapour pressure high peak exposures are not probable.

Based on the available data on skin and eye irritation, no sufficiently robust DNEL could be set.

In a weight of evidence approach the substance was classified as “corrosive to the skin” according to Directive 67/548/EEC and “Skin Corrosion Category 1A” according to GHS Regulation EC No 1272/2008. Based on the skin corrosivity the substance is classified as “corrosive to the eye” according to Directive 67/548/EEC and “Category 1 (Irreversible effects on the eye)” according to GHS Regulation EC No 1272/2008.

No DNEL for skin sensitization was established. According to Directive 67/548/EEC as well as GHS Regulation EC No 1272/2008 the test substance is classified as “sensitizing category 1”.

There are neither data from human experience nor from other sources indicating respiratory sensitization.
