PBT status:: the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:: The substance was found to be persistent (P) and toxic (T) but not bioaccumulative (B) and therefore does not meet the criteria for classification as a PBT substance. The substance was found to show limited biodegradation potential in a ready biodegradability study. The substance demonstrated 6% biodegradation (average of two replicates) over 28 days. The lack of biodegradation observed with the test substance is predicted to be due to the low water solubility of the substance (3mg/l at 25°C). The substance meets the criteria for classification as mutagenic (Cat. 1B) and there is evidence of chronic toxicity based on the classification of the substance as STOT RE 2
