A QSAR Prediction, reported in QSAR Prediction Reporting Format (QPRF) (version 1.1, May 2008) with the ECOSAR model, Anilines (Aromatic amines) was conducted to estimate the toxicity in Daphnia, fish and algae of p-phenetidine. The estimated results obtained indicate that Daphnia is the most sensitive species with an LC50 of 1.53 mg/l.

Fish: 96h-LC50= 30.24 mg/L

Daphnia: 48h-LC50= 1.53 mg/L

Algae: 96h-EC50= 6.97 mg/L

The following data is taken into account to assess the classification of the substance:

LC50 for the most sensitive species between 1 and 10 mg/l

The substance is considered as biodegradable and the log Pow is lower than 4

Therefore, the substance is not classified as Hazardous to the aquatic environment.
