Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The surface tension of the EDTAFeHNa was determined using the OECD harmonised ring method, according to OECD Guideline 115 and EU Method A.5. This study is scored as Klimisch 1 and selected as a key study.

The surface tension of the aqueous solution (1001.6 mg/L) at 20 °C is 68.6 mN/m. EDTAFeHNa has no surface active properties.

A guideline experimental data, scored as Klimisch 2 (as used in a read-across approach), is also available on the analogue EDTA-FeNa.3H2O (CAS 15708-41-5). It is flagged as supporting study and gives a surface tension in the same range (73.7 mN/m at a concentration of 1.02 g/l and at a temperature of 22 °C).
