The vapor pressure of N-butylpyrrolidone has been determined to be 13 Pa at 25 °C, using the vapor pressure balance method, designed to be compatible with Method A.4 Vapour Pressure of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008 and Method 104 of the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals, 23 March 2006.

Additional information

The vapor pressure of N-butylpyrrolidone has been determined to be 13 Pa at 25 °C, using the vapor pressure balance method, designed to be compatible with Method A.4 (Regulation (EC) No 440/2008) and OECD test guideline104.

In a disregarded study, the vapour pressure of N-Butylpyrrolidone was determined by the Static method - using a U-tube manometer. The test was conducted in accordance with the procedure described in EU Regulation (EC) 440/2008, Annex Part A, test A.4. The vapour pressure of N-Butylpyrrolidone was detected as 35 Pa (0.35 mbar) at 20 °C. The study is however desregarded because the sample tested was a pre-production sample not representing the final product, and the method used was a less accurate method for low volatility substances.
