Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Symptoms of poisoning may even occur after several hours; therefore medical observation for at least 48 hours after the accident.
Instantly remove any clothing soiled by the product.
Take affected persons into the open air.
After inhalation
In case of unconsciousness bring patient into stable side position for transport.
Supply fresh air or oxygen; call for doctor.
After skin contact
Instantly wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly.
If skin irritation continues, consult a doctor.
After eye contact
Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water. If symptoms persist, consult doctor.
After swallowing
Instantly call for doctor.
Administer medicinal carbon (6-8 teaspoons) with two or three glasses of water. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
Fire-fighting measures
Use fire fighting measures that suit the environment.
CO2, extinguishing powder or water jet. Fight larger fires with water jet or alcohol-resistant foam.
For safety reasons unsuitable extinguishing agents Water with a full water jet.
Special hazards caused by the material, its products of combustion or resulting gases:

Carbon monoxide (CO) and carbon dioxide (CO2)
Sulphur dioxide (SO2)
Protective equipment: Put on breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Wear protective equipment. Keep unprotected persons away.
Wear suitable protective clothing. As a minimum this would include: splash googles, disposable
lab coat with cuffs, chemical resistant gloves and breathing protection (for details see chapter 8).
Avoid causing dust.
Measures for environmental protection:
Inform respective authorities in case product reaches water or sewage system.
Keep dirty washing water for appropriate disposal.
Do not allow product to reach sewage system or water bodies.
Measures for cleaning/collecting:
Dispose of contaminated material as waste according to item 13.
Collect mechanically.
Handling and storage
Information for safe handling:
Prevent formation of dust.
Keep containers tightly sealed.
Ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace.
Information about protection against explosions and fires: No special measures required.
Storage
Requirements to be met by storerooms and containers: No special requirements.
Information about storage in one common storage facility: Not required.

Personal protective equipment
General protective and hygienic measures
Keep away from foodstuffs, beverages and food.
Take off immediately all contaminated clothing
Wash hands during breaks and at the end of the work.
Avoid contact with the eyes and skin.
Breathing equipment:
particle filter type EN 143, class P2 or P3,
half mask (particles) type EN 149, class FFP2 or FFP3
Protection of hands: Chemical resistant protective gloves (EN 374).
Material of gloves
The selection of the suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. The herein recommended suitable materials are for gloves that serve as protection from splashes. For a perpetual contact with the chemical no recommendation can be made.
Recommended thickness of the material: minimum 0.38 mm

Penetration time of glove material
The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the product/ the substance/ the preparation.
Eye protection: Tightly sealed safety glasses (EN 166).
Body protection (acc. to EN 465): Protective work clothing.

No decomposition if used according to specifications.

Disposal considerations
Recommendation
Must not be disposed of together with household garbage. Do not allow product to reach sewage system.
After prior treatment product has to be disposed of in an incinerator for hazardous waste under
adherence to the regulations pertaining to the disposal of particularly hazardous waste.
Uncleaned packagings:
Recommendation:
Disposal must be made according to official regulations.
Packagings that cannot be cleaned are to be disposed of in the same manner as the product.
