Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Physico-chemical properties of registered substance were determined from experimental testing, except Vapour pressure, Partition coefficient and Water solubility that were derived in a constituents approach from QSAR estimations on constituents. Some endpoints were waived, based on chemical structure of known constituents or experience in handling and use of the substance.

The substance is clear colorless mobile liquid at ambient temperature It is expected to float over water, because of its low relative density (0.904). The substance contains constituents having different water solubilities and volatilities.

The substance is classified as FLAMMABLE LIQUID, Category 3 based on Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 (CLP regulation) and UN Globally Harmonised System (GHS).

Otherwise, no other hazard was identified with regard to physical properties (explosivity, oxidising properties, self-heating substance) based on Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 (CLP regulation) and UN Globally Harmonised System (GHS).

Relative density

(EU A3, oscillating densimeter)

D20/20 = 0,904 ± 0,001

Less dense than water.

Granulometry

(data waiving)

study scientifically not necessary (liquid)

Vapour pressure

(Constituent approach - QSAR estimations on constituents)

The Vapour Pressure of the 11 constituents of the substance (more than 90% of the composition) are in the range between 7.58 and 544 Pa at 25°C

Log Kow

(Constituent approach - QSAR estimation or peer reviewed literature data on constituents)

The log Kow at 25°C of the 11 constituents of the substance (covering more than 90% of the composition) were determined to be between 2.5 and 6.6.

Water solubility

(Constituent approach - valid QSAR estimation or peer reviewed literature data on constituents - mixture approach)

The apparent water solubility at 25°C of the 11 constituents of the substance (covering more than 90% of the composition) were determined to be between 0.000473 and 1982 mg/L.

Surface tension

(data waiving)

Waived based on chemical structure of the known constituents of the substance, not characteristic of true surfactants and considering that it is not the intended use of the substance (i.e. not a desired property).

Auto-ignition temperature

49°C at 1013 hPa (322,2K) => Classified as

FLAMMABLE LIQUID, Category 3 under Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 (CLP regulation) and UN Globally Harmonised System (GHS).

Note that the result obtained on this kind of substance should be largely influence by small amounts of volatile constituents and the result doesn't represent the major part of the substance.

Waived based on experience in handling, testing and use and chemical structure of known constituents of the substance.

NOT flammable if contact with air or water

Waived based on physical state (liquid)

NO self-heating substance anticipated.

Explosive properties

(data waiving)

Waived based on chemical structure of the known constituents of the substance and experience in handling and use of this type of substance.

LOW potential for explosive properties

Oxidising properties

(data waiving)

Waived based on chemical structure of known constituents of the substance.

LOW potential for oxidizing properties.

Slight variations are possible with composition (UVCB substance).
